sdw500
Hello, I found these today walking along the beach along with about 200 teeth. I found a lot of bone fragments but wasn't sure what type of fossils are in the attached pictures. The one looks like an ear bone or something. Any help would be much appreciated... Thanks !!! Plantguy
My first impression is they are irregular shaped bone fragments and the holes are due to boring clams that are quite common around here. Could be some other taphonomies that include gator bites or some other chomping critter but might be too water worn to figure that out. I'm not getting any ear bone vibes but maybe someone else might. Beach finds are cool. Sounds like you did well with that kind of tooth count.
