HobbyCollectorWNY
Today I went Orthoceras hunting on the shore of Lake Ontario. I found a rock that clearly has some fossil activity going on but I cannot figure it out. I am unsure if it is just a strangely configured algae fossil (just different than I normally find). P.s. please disregard my bunny pajamas lol
Rockwood
If the bunnies are small enough it could be a remnant of an aulopora colony. I'm not at all confident of it though.
HobbyCollectorWNY
So sorry. Forgot to give a size reference. The rock itself is maybe 5 to 5 1/2 inches long.
Kane
These might be water worn rocks exposing sections of rugose coral. I can more clearly make out the detail of coral in the piece just behind it. ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer
HobbyCollectorWNY
Thank you, folks. It's beginning to look like it may be bryzoans, just sort of grouped together differently than the usual bryzoans I find.
