Gunn
So I found this tooth over a decade ago while canoeing down a local river. I always have had little flakes coming off and I finally decided to see if I could find a way to keep it from falling apart. It is only flaking off from the root of the tooth. Any help would be appreciated.
Doctor Mud
What a gorgeous tooth! Welcome to the forum. i would get my hands on some sort of consolidant such as PVA beads that can be dissolved in acetone. A consolidant penetrates dries and then strengthens fossil bone. i ordered mine from the BlackHills Institute. A little goes a long way in terms of the PVA beads. Gunn
Thank you for the welcome and Thank you for your help. I appreciate it. When i apply it I should probably stay away from the crown part correct? Edited October 9, 2017 by Gunn
