Kimi64
I found this tooth yesterday on Potomac River. I thought at first that it was a crocodile tooth, but it isn't hollow & it isn't curved as most of the crocodile teeth that I see online tend to be. This photo is magnified 2x so you can see the detail. I have another unknown to add to this list later. It measures 1.25 inches long. I just realized I photographed it on the mm side of the ruler. Thanks for looking. Edited October 10, 2017 by Kimi64 Clarification of length.
FossilDudeCO
If you can take some more pictures from other angles it may help us as well!
Miocene_Mason
As @FossilDudeCO said, more pictures are necessary at least for me. These would be to see if it has carinae and if so how many. “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason

Miocene_Mason
I agree with croc (when I say croc it not only includes crocodiles but gharials (and false gharials) as well). “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason

Kimi64
Here is the next mystery. This could just be an interesting rock, but it is so different from any rock I have found so far on the Potomac beaches that I thought I would share it. Kimi64
Oh & here, for comparisons sake, is what I think is also a croc tooth. It barely measures 0.5 inches. The other tooth is 1.25 inches.

The next tooth looks croc to Me, but it could be fish. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough."
