Bone? Need help with identification

Did you find this near Pagosa Sprs?  And do you have any idea what age the rocks are where you found it.  That is always a good clue, esp to ID things by photos only (as opposed to having the specimen in hand).  It looks like a large vertebra, but is it mammal or dinosaur?  Can you take clearer pix, esp the first and last photos.

I agree with vertabrae, no idea of what though. Remember "location,location,location" it's very important with fossils! If it was from an area with Miocene deposits (which I've got a feeling it might be for some reason)  I'd say it's ocean mammal.

Found it near pagosa springs an area that has a lot of shale and coal i also find alot of petrified wood. Leaves shells flowers. And stuff i cant identify .
