Kurufossils
Hello, I've found this at a site in new jersey where some footprints have been found from the Late Triassic/Early Jurassic, I am unsure about if this is a footprint of sorts, any help will be appreciated thank you! westcoast
I'm not seeing a footprint here, just natural weathering.
Fossildude19
Unfortunately, ... I agree, no footprint. The rock doesn't look like typical footprint rock from New Jersey. These are usually found in red mudstones, sandstones, and shales. The lack of splay from the toes leads me to believe it isn't a print. Miocene_Mason
I agree with not a print, I once found something similar like this while looking in the Newark supergroup as well, it is formed through geological processes. “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
