Good morning guys,

Any thoughts about this Leonaspis' species, taking into account the newly described species? What's the most updated info about this genus in Moroccan lands, please?

2,0 cm

Thanks in advance to all,

Miguel

Can we get some better close ups as at the moment i feel its either a really bad prep job or man-made especially when looking at the position of the eyes.

Yes, this is not a good one indeed. It was "dug" in old stock boxes.

the anatomy of the eyes looks off to me thought which is why i'm saying any chance of a close up?

The prep is not great but nothing is unusual about the anatomy or position of the eyes.

Attached for comparison are similar large-eyed examples of Leonaspis sp. from Morocco.

Are these Leonaspis possible to classify at the species level, @piranha?

Additional prep and better photos, like the attached examples might help.  Until then, I would label it Leonaspis sp.

@piranha What camera and lens did you use to get those kinds of shots? Or was there something else you used to magnify it to take such pictures?

Images like this are possible with any digital camera that has a macro setting.

Selenopeltis macrophthalma and Kettneraspis pigra

Are these speciesdescribed for Morocco or they should be labeled Selenopeltis cf. macrophthalma and Kettneraspis cf. pigra ?

@piranha

Thanks in advance

Miguel

They are both valid species in Morocco.
