LiamL
Hey all I'd love to dig at the quarry myself but it's not possible, so the next best thing would be to get the shale shipped to my country (England) They send up to 20 pounds of shale, has anybody ever done this or tried their service? I was wondering how many trilobites i could potentially find. Thank you. Yorkshire Coast Fossil Hunter
ynot
There have been a few threads about that here on TFF. I think that most were happy with the resulting finds. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." My Fossil collection - My Mineral collection My favorite thread on TFF. Fossildude19
I was gifted some U-dig Shale a few years ago. (Thanks JimB88!! ) Found many trilobites in the box that I received. In my opinion it is extremely productive shale. hobbitfeet
I had a box given to me for a birthday. I found many trilobites including different species near each other on the same piece which I think is pretty cool.
jpc
We bought 5 or 6 bags one year in Tucson and used them for a kids project. It was very successful. The stuff is full of trilobites. Go for it. (I can't imagine shipping across the pond is cheap, but I guess it might be cheaper than shipping yourself to Utah).

International Orders, all international orders are limited to 20 pounds, with a total cost of $102.00 "this includes shipping" Do you think this is decent? jpc
Yeah, that is decent. I shipped boxes of fossils home form Europe at about 100 bucks per box.

Taogan
Have always heard good things about it, but the shipping cost will be phenomenal. To make it cheap enough you'll have to get the bugs to swim over by themselves.

As mentioned above, the U-Dig website says this "International Orders, all international orders are limited to 20 pounds, with a total cost of $102.00 "this includes shipping" That is roughly £77.00. Not too bad, I think. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." LiamL
So i've just ordered my Christmas present for myself, from my parents. Not sure how long they take to ship to the UK. But it's gonna be hard to not break into the lovely trilobites. Yorkshire Coast Fossil Hunter
