Nimravis
So today I was in the attic bringing down Christmas decorations, when I came across a container of brachiopods, rocks and this other odd thing. I received it from someone about 30 years ago, and forgot about these things. I did not draw the circle with magic marker on this rock, it was there when I got it. It reminds me of some decal that you would see on a Transformer LOL. Does anyone have any idea on what it is?
Kane
Definitely looks like a trilobite cephalon... But it may also be something that is more than meets the eye. 4 ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer
Tidgy's Dad
Looks like an external mold of a trilobite cephalon to me too. 3 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.

Douvilleiceras
Nice negative! The Olenellidae are very elegant bugs! Your mold (these are mostly lacking their original calcified exoskeletons) is good sized too. My only Olenellus sp. trilobites are so small that some of my Agnostina are larger! 1 Regards, Jason "Trilobites survived for a total of three hundred million years, almost the whole duration of the Palaeozoic era: who are we johnny-come-latelies to label them as either ‘primitive’ or ‘unsuccessful’? Men have so far survived half a per cent as long." - Richard Fortey, Trilobite: Eyewitness to Evolution.

With the marker gone, I see there's more there than I first noticed. Check off a good addition to your species list for that site!
