Crann
Found this heavy lump today, first I thought it was an Ammonite keel but noticed the strange pattern so was thinking more like coral ? Anyone seen anything like it ? Was from Yorkshire coast, thinking possibly 190 myo give or take a few million, thanks.

TqB
Not a coral (you hardly ever get them in the Lias around there - just occasionally in the Hettangian/Sinemurian - and when you do they don't look like that). First guess is it's the edge of a bivalve. 1 Tarquin

TqB
Looks something like the hinge of a Modiolus, like this one from Robin Hood's Bay (it's missing the bottom end). 1 Tarquin
