Thank you all so much! I must admit I was very surprised to see how well my piece was received with as common as the lowly turtle fossil is around here but ecstatic at my second win in vfotm..... with the amazing finds that members here put up for the contest the competition can be fierce:D

Thanks Julianna, I was glad I went back and sifted the area the following week or I would have been missing some of this guy.... really thought I had it all the first day lol

Every once in a great while it's not just a big rock down there!

A Fantastic specimen made better by the articulation and the story behind it being found. Had you not been there at the right time, it may have washed away and never been recovered.
