Nic333 Posted November 10, 2017 Share Posted November 10, 2017 Hello everyone! I need some help identifying these bones. I've narrowed them down to being antiquus or possibly bison bison. Unfortunately, even if those ARE bison bones, it would be practically impossible to differentiate between Bison bison and Bison antiquus on the basis of isolated skeletal elements. It can be hard enough even when you have a skull to work with! There are links to downloads of (free) papers on bison listed in my pdf library here on The Fossil Forum. Here's a LINK. Just scroll down until you find the section on Subfamily Bovinae and Tribe Bovini.
