JBMugu
Found this tooth in Bakersfield, in the Round Mountain Silt formation on Nov 12, 2017. From looking at the diagrams on this site, I think it could be megamouth shark tooth. But I am not sure, since I think that is not a tooth found in that formation. Any comments or ideas are appreciated.
willy
More pics would help. Kinda hard to tell how thick the root is. The root looks like Megamouth but the crown has the look of cow shark upper. Maybe slightly deformed megamouth is my guess. Could very well be cow though
ynot
It is a hexanchus a1 upper tooth. Nice find. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Anomotodon
I agree, this is Hexanchus tooth. Cool pathology though! The Tooth Fairy

This is a normal shape for hexanchus upper a1. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." Interesting, I thought labio-lingual curvature is abnormal. I am more used to Eocene H. microdon with strongly distally recurved and labio-lingually flat anteriors, like the upper one on the picture.
