bone2stone
Hmmm, it does have a mysterious appeal. Amphisaurid style vert. Could be dinosaur. Never heard of dino material out of the NSR though. BUT, the Pawpawsaurus was found in a strictly aqueous deposit, so hope you do get better info. Would like to see just what it is. JarrodB
Thanks. I had it positively identified on FB as from a Pleistocene giant armadillo.

Giant armadillo. Would that be glyptodont? I have found the gltp scutes there in the NSR but no verts. Nice addition to an ever expanding collection. Jess B. Max-fossils
Sorry to bring a much less 'awesome' ID, but to me this looks a LOT like a fish vert. A very worn one that is. So label it as indet. Teleostei (undetermined bony fish) Compare it to this fossil fish vert from the Pleistocene I found in a beach in Zeeland, Netherlands: Btw, if I remember well, I already saw that exact vert some time ago, and gave the same answer (fish vert)... Are you sure you didn't do a duplicate topic? Max Derème "I feel an echo of the lightning each time I find a fossil. Yes I posted it when I found it but got very few replies. Thanks
