Cretaceous vert

Recommended Posts

Mike from North Queensland

I have done a little bit of sieving and found this interesting little vertebra.

Its quite small at about 3 mm long and was found in the cretaceous (Albian) of central Queensland Australia.

The specimen was found in a cretaceous sediment from a marine environment, however I do not think its a marine animal.

I have a good idea of what I believe it is from but comments would be appreciated.
