Giant 7.1 inch restored megalodon tooth

This is my latest work. I got this tooth from a diver and at that time it measured 5.99 inches long on the slant. It took a very long time to restore but I am happy with the results. It is 5.5 inches wide and the shorter side measures 6.7 inches. It has a cool wrinkled pathology at the corner of the blade. This is very common as teeth get bigger because they are very very old sharks.

Amazing job! Do you restore any other fossils?

I have not before but I can. Anything where I can see photos of a complete version I can do.

Cool.  How did you texture the root?

With your skills I’ll send over an ichthyosaurus vert and you send me back the whole beast. :P

Phenomenal job Matt! Finally a no-cheat 7-incher too!

If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!
