PatBronson
I have a few finds from my last couple of trips to the North Sulphur River in Texas that I'm not quite sure of. A few more images
PatBronson
These were all found fairly close to the stairs near the bridge a few months ago.
abyssunder
They look like crushed inoceramid valves. 1 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way. PatBronson
Thanks! That helps a lot. I've found plenty of shells and shell imprints along the river, but wasn't quite sure what this was. I thought the crystal/fiber appearance in the cross section looked interesting, but wasn't sure if this was geological instead of biological. Looking at some other examples after seeing your reply, it certainly makes sense that it would be that.
Fossildude19
I agree with parts of an inoceramid. Neat finds.
