erose Posted December 3, 2017 Share Posted December 3, 2017 Most of the Midwest is too old. But in the Carboniferous Period (Pennsylvanian and Mississippian) you start to see ammonoids. Those are quite interesting. There is some Cretaceous along the Mississippi River in Tennessee, Kentucky, ??? but I don't think ammonites are common.
