Jim K
This is a Florida beach find from about 25 years ago. We don't remember the exact location, but somewhere between Ft Meyers and Tampa. It reminds me of sponge but that's just a guess. It could be just an interesting rock, but has those large holes and very small pores. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you. Tidgy's Dad
I think it could be a sponge, too, I have something similar from Tunisia somewhere. 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
abyssunder
It could be a sponge considering the "tubular" and meandering shape, also the spongy and radiating textures. Maybe it's something similar to the Floridan specimen of this link, or just a worn and bioeroded limestone piece. 1 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way. fifbrindacier
I too think it could be a sponge. "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux."
