magicalmrmerlin
All, I have a lot of different items in my collection but I am not a trilobite expert by any means. That's why I'm looking for help with ID here. If anyone knows more about Trilobites than I do that is. Photos 2,3 and 4 are Moroccan I believe. Specimens I have picked up over the years. Photos 1 and 5 were part of an old collection from a UK locality (Pembrokeshire, Wales?). Any help appreciated. Edited December 14, 2017 by magicalmrmerlin Edited to adject order of photos. fifbrindacier
Hi, photo 4 might be a cephalon of an Onnia or, more probably, a Marrolithus. They're both from the Asaphida order and trinucleidae family, but wait for the real expert's opinion. "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." Tidgy's Dad
Photos 2 and 3 seem to be Ampyx See Sorry, i can't seem to edit out the irrelevant bits! Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
Tidgy's Dad
Number 4 could be Onnia superba ? And number 5 Ogygiocarella sp. Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
fifbrindacier
I agree that 2 and 3 could also be raphiophoridae from the Asaphida order. 2 looks like an Ampyx priscus as the ones you can find in the ordovician of the Fezouata formation in Morocco. fifbrindacier
Photo 4, if you knw someone that can do this, it would be worth to withdraw the parts of it embedded in the matrix. In Morocco you can find Those Onnia species : seunesi, ultima abducta, ultima cobboldi. "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." I agree it can be an Ogygiocaridinae, but i wonder about those little rounded pleural spines we can see on the pygidium. "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." doushantuo
PDF freely avaible from website(PALAEONT,/1988,v.31-3)BTW.might also be in several threads or libraries on this forum Some ONNIA might be reassigned to Cryptolithus BTW:I'm sort of roadmapping:the final destination may be pointed out/reached with the help of other people ,who are more systematically savvy than yours truly
