I have heard that the pit that used to produce these has been flooded for several years now.

Beautiful preservation, great detail. I especially enjoy all the little spikes.:envy: May I ask how many hours of prep went into this crab?

Yes it is, I got the mine as a gift from somebody that got their crabs from the original pit years ago. This is one of the originals

just acquired this an I'd would help I'm going with  LAMAZUMILA AURACANA from Chile but any help or thought in what it is would be greatly appreciated. only reason I dont think it is   LAMAZUMILA AURACANA is because it seems small for the ones I've seen and for the one I have in my collection.
