thair
Well I am shipping my most recent shark cartilage to the "American Museum of Natural History" today. They said it is most likely another partial skull and since this stuff is pretty rare they would like to have in their collection. Maybe this partial can be used with other material for a study for someone.

digit
Nice! Repost this to the lengthy pinned contribution topic at the top of this subforum so it will go with the other contributions. @Fossildude19 should spot that and make sure you get your PaleoPartner award. Cheers. -Ken

digit
Ah, a multi-donor---good on ya, mate! Hopefully, the awards will return to be seen on the postings in the future (with software upgrades). I would have noticed his pre-existing condition. FossilDAWG
Thanks for your generosity. It may take a while, but one day some grad student or postdoc will be given a hand up in their career because of your donation. Don

I get how only one PaleoPartner award is given, but Tully can post this to the Contributions discussion, no?
BobWill
Well Carl is not the only who missed seeing this. That thing is huge for a Pennsylvanian shark. Well done @thair Did Dr. Maisey have an idea what part of the braincase this is from? One of these days we'll find some associated teeth and be able to call these by name! thair
The one I donated before this one did have associated teeth with it in the matrix. So at least that one could be identified
