Anyone have any idea what this is?

I found this a few years ago, but have not been able to ID it.  Is it a fossil or is it just bone, and  what is it from?

Where did you find it.. in a rocky area, or in the dirt, out in the woods, etc?

My first impression is the sawn-off end of an animal bone, been in the ground/weather for some time (and you wouldn't be the first to show us one of these), but I'm not a bone expert, maybe others will be able to say with more certainty.

I found it in the the dirt.  I honestly thought it was the hoof of a modern horse when I first found it, because the previous owner of my property used it as a horse pasture and I imagine they may have had some horses die, but this doesn't look right.

I think it's very likely to be the end of a bone such as a humerus etc, cut off by a butcher. Someone else here is likely to be able to identify the bone/animal.

I agree with @Wrangellian, it could be the end of a long bone as humerus or femur, but it's hard to tell more because your photos are a bit blurry.
