What Am I? - The Mazon Creek Fossil Game

Since @Jones1rocks has been posting Mazon Creek fossils for ID's, I thought that I would post two that have stumped me and I would appreciate any help.

Both of these concretions look similar to me- the first one I only have a half and the second one I have both halves. Sometimes I think that they are flora and other times I think fauna- such as a shrimp, but I have no clue. I am really leaning towards fauna and I have never found any others that are similar.

Here is the one with only 1 half- different views:

First one has sort of a lobster-ish shape.  Some sort of arthropod?

Yes and Both of the concretions appear to have the same thing, just different sizes.

I too get a strong shrimp-like arthropod vibe from these. Can't say I've ever popped a nodule with something quite this intriguing inside. Love to hear a definitive pronouncement on these.

Cheers.

Happy to help.

Here is a similar example.

You can see many of the same structures

Yes- the back half on my second one is why I was leaning towards shrimp and yours shows it a lot nicer- Thanks again.

Is it too late for me to have a guess?

If not i'll use my extensive knowledge and guess at shrimp molts.

Probably Belotelson or Lobetelson.

Do I win?

Ahem. ^_^:D

Yup, Rob nailed it. Pretty typical Belotelson.
