The best of my Mammal collection

Otoliths, inner ear bones These are between 15 and 20 million years old and from South Carolina. Probably a Spem Whale . Mrs Rico gave me this as a stocking filler one Christmas. Fun gift.

Thank you very much . Mrs R gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago she purchased it from the world famous mr Woods fossil shop.  I always thought it was a partial rib bone but it was just a thought. Cheers Bobby

Size should answer that.  A rib might be a couple inches wide in cross section, ulna considerably larger.

A  Bison horn not massive but a good size 13in. It has a label in side saying Maxey Peterborough 2/1/84. There not much Bison material found in the UK . I have research the location and I thought it was wrong . Until I found a little nearby museum that also has local Bison finds. This is quite rare in the UK  Cheers Bobby

Thank you all for looking .

In the background a partial Mammoth tooth quite large found on the Norfolk Coast .

Looking good!

Congrats on the bison horn.

Thanks Tony much appreciated. I got really lucky with the bison horn. I purchased it thinking the location may have been wrong but I thought it was impressive looking piece and price was pretty good . After a little research I was pleased to find out that the location is correct making it a rare UK find. All the best Bobby
