At least it's a "clean" coal and you don't look like you swam a tar lake afterward.

Nice finds!

Some more December eye candy canes before Christmas :P

Every single fossil you see is a miracle set in stone, and should be treated as such.

Nice to see you got out. Nice finds.

What size is your unknown "big leaf". It looks similar to Macroneuropteris.

Amazing finds, but that first plate with the asterophylites  is stunning!

Thanks for the report, Gery.:fistbump:

That’s beautiful!

Nice color on the sphenophyllum. There’s a guy who has been posting on the Facebook Carboniferous and Fossil Forum page out of Oklahoma. He had some plants the other day that had the most beautiful light blues and greens and also yellow, orange and red. I’d never seen the shades of green and blue.

Last night I was looking at conifer cones from Patagonia. There was some pretty amazing stuff there, but good to know you can find something similar closer to home.

The neuropteris plates are beautiful!

Can’t help with the ID, but very cool trunks.

Merry Christmas and congrats on stunning finds.

For those who want to know:the correct name of the taxon is Psaronius(not saying it is one,you woukd need to have e.g. ultrastructural detail to ascertain that)
