Finally making some progress at our Slow Curve lot. My son pulled out the first meg! Also found a few nice hastalis and planus as well as a bird sacrum.

Great finds, and a very nice little meg. Those 2 C. hastalis to the right of the meg are very nice.

Bulldozers and dirt Bulldozers and dirt
behind the trailer, my desert
Them red clay piles are heaven on earth
I get my rocks off, bulldozers and dirt

All those are amazing, the meg being the center piece!

I love that in situ piece in the top left.  So what are the digging conditions there this time of the year?  Shirt off, I assume it is still warm?

Weather here this time of year is good. By 8am its comfortable and usually tops out at about 70F. Assuming no rain.

And that rain just softens up the soil right?  I doubt I'll make it out there before April this year.  Please save a thresher & a giant Meg for me to find?  Thanks!

Plus zero shade...unless you bring it with you. Nice haul Ted.

Beautiful meg from a sought after local, congrats :fistbump:at least it seems from what’s posted from STH most megs are pretty whole and nice condition. Here in SW Florida I’d say our average is closer to 1 in 10

Every once in a great while it's not just a big rock down there!
