Possible Mos tooth - NSR

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Assuming this is a mosasaur tooth.  I found it on the North Sulphur River.  I haven’t seen a mos tooth with such a wicked curve so it had me wondering if it might belong to something else.

Thanks!

Yup. This is a mosasaur pterygoid tooth. They frequently have this much of a curve to them.

Regards,

EDIT: Picture from here on the Forum of pterygoid teeth:

Also, brightened and cropped the first pic.
