Thank you.  I also think the outline gives you a more visually appealing view of the animal than just bones..

Yeah, the outline seems to be etched in later on many specimens, including the second one I posted above, maybe.

It does look great and gives you a sense of the complete animal but I'd really like a natural one without an outline, one with the outline etched in and ,most of all, one with the outline naturally preserved.

Not much to ask. :D

I don't remember if you posted a photo of this, but it is on my Christmas wish list (only $90K). I made a special trip over to the Fossil Co-op to see this after @Carl spotted it. The top of this petrified wood table is riddles with insect galleries, many of which are filled with termite COPROLITES!

The last week I typically go to venues that are not my primary interest and just check them out.  Today I went to the Pueblo show near the 22nd street show.  Its primarily a huge gem and mineral show but the Moroccan dealers are also in a tent.   At the Ramada a number of dealers have already packed up and left.   Not cost effective for them to say the last week.

First a few pictures from venues already posted but Im doing a drive by to see if there are any bargains.

At the Moroccan village one of the dealers saw me taking pictures of the fakes and asked me to stop :(  do they know,,,,,

I had the good fortune of meeting up with Troodon for the one day I attended the Show.  Thanks for the shopping tips, Troo.  I took pix of three specimens, and Troodon just showed one of them.. the two Green River birds.  Yes, that Limnofregata is cool.  There are a few other really nice specimens of that same bird out there, but this one has great feathers.

This is the third time I have been, and it just makes me want to go fossil hunting.  Go get my own stuff.  I had to do a lot of shopping for the museum gift shop, so I was unable to really look at the fossils in detail.  The show is overwhelming and you just can't see it well in one day.

Walking around I realize I almost missed the most important Dinosaur specimen to be found at the show and it was at the Pueblo Show of all places

The answer to what T-rex looked like..... we've all got it all wrong it was not scaly, leathery or full of feathers it was I would say beady and colorful like birds.....

Looks like a possible Pelagornithid or toothed bird jaw second from the top left in between all the fish.

A pleasure to hook up with you but you have to make more time for yourself to enjoy the view.

You would really enjoy the show going through these tents and finding tons of cool items like this jaw.  It would pay for your trip  :D

@Troodon

Well another day and another set of awesome pictures.  Thanks again for taking us along with you.

Since I am a beginner of sorts it would be great if you could comment on some of the fakes so we could better understand what is out there and why it is a fake

or a pieced together not correct piece of junk.  I need the experienced to help out.

You have showed so many pictures I am in shock at how large this show is.  I planned on making a stop as I made my road trip to come to Salt Lake to ski.

However as it turned out my parents were up here and not in Mesa.  They got my priority this time.  Maybe next year. I also knew that if I came to the show I would have broke the bank and would have needed my truck.  :D

The Icthyosaur with the outline I kind of like.  It does give a little understanding of what it's shape may have been.

I mean *ahem* I obviously know vast amounts about Ichthyosaur fins, such things are elementary.:P
