aplomado
I'm looking for a nice Otodus tooth on matrix. This one is described as "still embedded in the natural rock it was found in." It is 2.5". Does this look naturally attached or glued on to you all? Thank you.
Darktooth
There is a crack that runs through the matrix and the tooth. Judging by only what I can see in your pics, I conclude the tooth broke during prep and was glued back on. But it appears to be the original matrix buy the way the tooth fits. Just my opinion. 1 I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.

LordTrilobite
I agree as well. Broken off, and then glued back. Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite
Seguidora-de-Isis
One more vote here that is 100% real, because the cracks are perfectly compatible. There was simply an error during the preparation and it was glued again, but it is still quite natural, that is, nothing that could diminish the scientific value of this specimen. Below, I leave as an example a tooth of Otodus Obliquus, which is deposited in my private collection, where unfortunately there was a preparation error and the tooth also broke... Is It real, or it's not real, that's the question!
