Thank you! :)

I'm afraid yours won't be going until Monday, but no later than that.

Sorry.

I agree, but I've never had post from, or sent post to Canada, so who knows?

I’m not in any rush so no worries! I had other items to mail so it worked out :)

@caldigger I am glad you recieved your Herkimer Diamond safe and sound. Fyi , there is a small amount of iron oxide on the surface of the crystal. If you wish to remove this, you can let it soak in 100%  lemon juice for a while and scrub with an old toothbrush.  I usually leave on the iron oxide when it is in small amounts as it gives a little color to the crystal.

So I recently came home from the gym and was pleasantly surprised to find my second trade in the mailbox, from @fishguy ( Tom). I recieved a part of a concretion from Glendive, Montana. It contains parts of Ammonites and Baculites. It is from the pierre shale. Tom, Thank-you for this lovely piece! The colors and shine on the fossils are really nice. This piece is chock full of fossils!

My gift from Secret Santa had some nice pieces like this from the Pierre Shale.

I wonder who my Secret Santa was?;)

That's a really nice piece.

The pictures really don't do justice by this piece. The fossils have that Mother of pearl, shine, and luster. Maybe I will try some better lighting.

I can tell you, you will never be able to capture the beauty of these ammos on a picture.

So I propose you send it to every member so they can see it in person. Me first!

I know what you mean, I tried for ages to get decent pictures for the pieces I posted on the Secret Santa thread yesterday, but those beautiful colours just won't show up!

@PFOOLEYWasn't sure something that heavy would ever make it through the mail. The lady at the post office  tried to pick it up and failed. Wish I had caught her expression on video. Not a rare specimen, but it at least correlates to your wonderful ammonites a bit. That was my thought process.

They say up to 70lbs. on the flat rate boxes. Not our fault the postal clerks can't lift that much.

This is a very beautiful and delicate mineral! It will have a welcomed spot in my collection.

@fishguy Was it Klein or Conklin?? Millerite is such a strange thing. I have a specimen just like yours and from Klein that sits in our living room.

Actually large bulk rate box says unlimited weight right on it. Now the postal union may say workers can't lift it though.

So are there any of you that haven't found a trading partner yet?

I remember there being members wanting to do several different trades.

Now comes the long wait for the overseas goody postings.

I sent you a taste of California Roger, hope you like.
