Bone guy
I was considering getting this nice eurypterid fossil head. I know it's just the head, but the price is insanely low and I like the definition of the eyes. But for some reason the eyes feel a bit toooo perfect. The fossil is reportedly un-restored and is from Ukraine.

piranha
Here is a quick follow-up for the naysayers. Check the ebay current and completed 'Eurypterus' listings. There are a bunch of these Baltic specimens available with better preservation for auction at $7-10 USD. Anyone not familiar with these fossils should take the time to get educated before declaring "Fake Fossil".

LordTrilobite
The anatomy looks correct. I'd say either real or a cast or a real fossil. Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite

No one is manufacturing replica casts of these fossils when better preserved specimens are readily available for $7-$10 USD. Evidently, the OP is working with a reliable seller. To believe otherwise stretches logic and common sense to a new extreme.
LordTrilobite
Fair enough. I'm not that familiar with Eurypterid fossils, but I figured since the anatomy looks right, so at least I thought it wouldn't be a sculpture. Ludwigia
Who on earth would spend their time making a fake and then try to sell it at that price? It's real. No question. caldigger
Oh good, it is offered from the gentleman from Georgia. I was hoping to have to pay to have it hauled across the entire country. How bout I just do a 1-4-1 trade. I've got one that is a nice "Golden" color I'm not using anymore.
