I fold! Can’t beat three of a kind.

Nice finds!

You really should leave it there to fully erode. It's just cruel to take it from its natural surroundings and put it in a glass cage.

By the way, what did you say the coordinates for that spot were again? :ninja:

Thank you. Initially, I found the top two and was pretty darn happy...after sweeping away the dirt, I noticed the impression of a third! Scoured around a few minutes and found it. :)

Nice find! :)

Thanks, it really was! I had not found much up until that and was debating calling it a day.

I am torn by this fact each and every time. Over the years my acclimation methods have improved and now the survival rate is at a staggering 98%! Next, a breeding program...

It would just be better if I showed you.

Thank you, gents. It is a first (for me) to find an ammonite stack like this...I was very impressed. :)

Your cabinet must be mind-blowing by now.

C'mon, Don...it has been all along. ;)  Much of what I have collected in the last few months will be housed at the NMMNH, though the cabinet has been evolving.

@LiamL, here are the second and third ammonites. The second is sandwiched between the impressions of the top and bottom ammonites.

What a cool find Mike. I’d struggle to work out how to prep them as the association is so unusual.

Thanks, John. I wondered of the possibilities of preparation as well...since that top one is so darn beautiful, I can't help but admire it as it sits. :)
