oldtimer Posted February 6, 2018 Share Posted February 6, 2018 I suppose that it depends on where it is. Desert land that may contain fossils, petrified wood and maybe dinosaurs is cheap. Land in Florida that may contain fish, shells, mammal parts and Meg teeth may be expensive. Land in the central states may be in between. So this is hard to answer. Generally fossils don't accrue additional tangible value to the land unless dealing with something with high commercial demand, like dinos, Megs, maybe some of the prettier ammos from the Pierre Shale, etc. Grüße, Daniel A. jcbshark Posted February 8, 2018 Share Posted February 8, 2018 There’s plenty of undeveloped land here in SW Florida that is pretty inexpensive but you’d need to get about 20 feet down and run pumps to successfully hunt most of it Every once in a great while it's not just a big rock down there!
