Another Paleontologist chimed in on Twitter.  They must not like the paper

 

"Dinosaurs were not too successful for their own good.  They were successful, period.  Then an asteroid randomly hit.  They diversified as a supercontinent fragmented, so yes, their biogeography changed over time."
