The others do appear to be bivalves, but photos from other angles are needed for a better ID.

I think it's most likely a weathered surface that had a thicker layer of encrustation built up on it. There may also be a certain amount of diagenetic mineralization as well.

Just wanted to say thanks again! After you texted that , I researched that and discovered something new.  I didn't even see those. I was just looking at the large creature. I shared it with one of my granddaughters. Much appreciated!
