Bone guy
I'm considering purchasing this platecarpus jaw. The only thing is......I'm not sure its platecarpus at all. It certainly looks mosasaur to me, but something about the spacing between the teeth seems off.....maybe halisaurus? The jaw is 8.66 inches long, it's from morocco (ouled abdoun basin), and it's currently labeled as platecarpus ptychodon. any help would be greatly appreciated! -Andy-
Nothing looks off to me. I would call it Platecarpus ptychodon too. Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!

LordTrilobite
Yes. Those teeth are unmistakable. As Andy said, this is Platecarpus ptychodon. Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite
doushantuo
There is, according to the latest Moroccan finds, NO solid foundation for "Platecarpus Ptychodon" Fide Polcyn/Schulp/Houssaye/Bardet/Ameghzaz et al. I pointed this out before,BTW
