Nice. I’m starting to think purse is better than Douglas, can any one attest to that?

Do you mean the Douglas Point areas? I have only been to Purse because I like the short walk to the beach.

Yeah. I’ve yet to find an Otodus after five trips and only one croc tooth. Wonder why...

Yeah I used to head north from the beach at Purse state, but I hate climbing over all the trees. Decent walk south but once you get around the peninsula the collecting gets very good for Otodus and Croc teeth and I have had good success at both high and low tides

That one complete Otodus and those croc teeth are exceptional finds. Congratulations.

Excellent haul!    :envy:

I only have been able to visit the area once, and I elected to collect the Blue Banks area.  I found lots of sand tigers and a couple of Cretalamna, but no Otodus or Paleocarcharodon (or others of the many species of sharks that occur in the Aquia) and only fragments of croc teeth.  Perhaps I didn't get far enough south towards Purse?

Also (for when I return, for return I shall) does anyone have advise regarding the micro teeth?  Are they abundant enough that it would be worth hauling out a couple of buckets of beach to sieve at home?  Or is there a better strategy to snag these little wonders?

I did this, a majority of specimens at purse (or Douglas point) are micro. I found an angel shark, a  Triakis, a ton of the regular teeth, and a few other goodies with about two quarts. Results may vary but worth it. I suggest going to the gravel and try to collect from areas with different gravel sizes (so that winnowing will work in your favor)
