Agreed with Cosmopolitodus hastalis.

If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!

Nice tooth, some times you get whole honey colored teeth up here in Maryland.

Dyed? Or stained from mineralization likely due to iron rich soil.

Dyed/stained from mineralization. You believe the red tip is from iron?

Dyed is usually a term used when referring to purposely coloring something. I think your teeth probably were in an iron rich environment at some time.

The teeth where I have been digging lately have colors ranging from yellows, reds, sable browns and greys all because of the different minerals in the soil.

Looks mako to me. What a shame the shark had to eat. :megalodon_broken01:

Every single fossil you see is a miracle set in stone, and should be treated as such.
