bmitchell887
We were finally able to get out Sunday for a nice walk on the beach on a beautiful day. We went to a new spot to check things out and investigate an area that we’ve heard a lot about. My fiancé was able to find a huge ray plate and I found quite an epic tooth for myself! The first paleocarcharodon!! Hopefully the picture does it justice. It’s not a large tooth but definitely pretty cool. Those serrations are nasty!! HoppeHunting
That ray plate is MASSIVE! Like the biggest one I've ever seen. That, along with your paleocarcha, makes this trip more than decent if you ask me. Congrats! hokiehunter
That ray plate as others have said is amazing for Purse or anywhere for that matter. Maybe 1 or so a year from what I've seen come from that location in that condition and that is probably a stretch. It might be closer to every 5 years. Congrats. Get that sucker into FOM. I'd vote for it. Also, can you take a picture of the other side please and post it.
bmitchell887
Thanks everyone and the nice comments. Here’s the other side of the epic ray plate. Looks a bit beat up on this side but the size is still incredible! I found one myself a couple weeks ago at Purse but this one my fiancé found just embarrassed mine lol
