Any idea if these are dinosaur eggs or concretion.  The inside is completely crystallized like quartz.  It is from Ganzhou, Jiangxi of China.

They look more like some type of geode to me.

To be able to say yes to dinosaur eggs we need clear pix of the texture of the surface and the cross section where it is broken.

Certainly geodized, but whether there is an organic origin cannot be told from the pictures.

Definitely not normal but it could a side piece pushed in since it's not a clean break.  Something to look at if we get further pictures.  I don't see it in the other two specimens they still gives me a shell appearance.

Agree with Troodon- likely that is a piece of shell the got pushed down into the egg sometime after the egg was laid.

Well, looking at all of this so far, you might of actually found a dinosaur egg! I highly suggest to take some better pictures of surface, but if you have the surface it would be highly likely a dinosaur egg is what you found. Congrats! (Hopefully)

This a great piece to have in your collection!

And a good example of what Crazyhen is posting, I think.

I recently prepped several very similar eggs that were totally crystallized inside. In the photo of your first egg I see potential embryonic material in the upper right portion of the egg.

It would be hard to find one of those pieces of shell for that much. I'm beginning to think skipping Tucson and going straight for your MAPPS show is in order. Sounds like you are pulling incredible bargains from there.

Wow! Even I could afford that. Always wanted more than a tiny piece of shell but eggs are way outa my league.

I do not think the thickness is as consistent as it should be for egg shell...

I think Auspex has raised so good points with that specific egg that additional closeup photos may help resolve.  Any chance of seeing them?

Unfortunately this one was sold and I don’t have any more photos.  But would that thicker part be a result of matrix not removed completely?
