Life started in the ocean. And so did my interest in fossils;).

I'd say!  And I'll bet you have even more not so perfect ones to go with those marvelous whole specimens too.

I have quite a few. I’m overseas at the moment and had to resort to stock photos and what few I have saved in my phone. I’ll be updating this once I return stateside.

Thanks for the the kind words!

I have collected a fair amount of Cowshark teeth from the Cliffs. I only have 3 left in my possession after giving some to my kids, trades, and auctions.  But these are the 3 best I have found

#1 Found at Mataokke cottages.

#2&3 from Brownies. The 3rd one has a different morphology then any other cowsharks I have seen. In front of the first large spike, instead of serrations which point towards the spike there appear to be additional spikes pointed in the opposite direction. I know this is not a symphaseal, but someone suggested that it may have come from somewhere close to the middle of the  mouth. I have never seen another one quite like it.

Wow! Lots of beautiful teeth so far. I will try and post some of my finds as well when I get a chance.  Looking forward to see what @Calvert Cliff Dweller shows us. He had 2 really nice ones the last time I ran into him. Keep the pics coming! Love these teeth!

Amazing specimens! I love these sharks very much, although still haven't found any symphyseals. Here are some of my best Hexanchus microdon and Notorynchus kempi from Kyiv suite (Lutetian, Eocene).

Some gorgeous teeth! I’m jealous...

The cow sharks are definitely my favorite sharks, and the only ones that I am really interested in. Especially the sevengill (Notorhynchus). The other sharks are fun too, but I don’t find them that awesome...

Here are two of mine already, I’ll show the other ones I have this weekend:

Sixgill shark

Hexanchus microdon

Khouribga, Morocco

Early Eocene, 50 mya

Bought 23/11/2016

Sevengill shark

Notorhynchus cepedianus

Antwerp, Belgium

Miocene-Pliocene, 5 mya

Found 23/9/2017

My favorite shark tooth in my collection (because it’s a Noto and I found it myself, didn’t just buy it/receive in a trade)

I have some other interesting Antwerp cow sharks too, and also my second favorite cow shark tooth (which I got from Dave), of whose the pictures will come this weekend :D
