Found this while walking around Kentucky lake in the land between the lakes. It looked strange like skin any info would be great.

Can you give a description of where you found it? (Stream bed, loose soil etc) and add some close up photos?

Looks like a concretion to me also. The area around LBL is mostly Mississippian

I think it might be something close to the tripolitic chert.
