Not sure what this is

I was scrolling through our favourite auction site when I saw this for sale. The seller has no clue on what it is and has no info on where it is found, my friend says it looks like nothing but I want to know what it might be. All information would be helpful.

Seems I have seen something like this recently. Even has the same type of hole in it as well.

So do you have any clue as to what this migh be? Concretion? Urchin? Eggs?

Your piece looks like a concretion. The piece that caldigger posted are thunder eggs. They do look similar but are not the same.

Ok thanks ynot. Yeah you are probably right that they are concretion unless there is some compelling evidence that says otherwise.

Concretions.

Still an attractive piece, though. :)

The posted picture has an extremely low quality, but I'm wondering if the "spheres" couldn't be cystoids, something similar to Echinosphaerites aurantium .

Concretion. I have one I kept somewhere and find them here in TX in the creeks. I will post a picture of the one I have if I can find it. It is almost identical.

Can we have better pictures of the specimen?
