DatFossilBoy
This is my 2cm Geesops trilobite in defending position I just received in the Post. It has both eyes preserved and a lot of detail. I am really happy about this piece, It is my 4th trilobite In my collection. Slowly but surely increasing my collection! Something startles me: the little line of glue across the trilobite. I don’t know I found its a repair or just a mistake... Does not seem to have any damaged wondering if I should remove it.What do you think? Hope you like the Post! RJB
It may be repaired, But it looks like to me, from the photo's, that its just some matrix? Hard to tell. RB

RJB
Now that ive looked at it a bit closer, I can see that it is glue. Must be a way of taking it off without damaging the fossil. If its a really good tight fit, it should be doable. I wish you the best of luck. Oh, the harder the glue the easier it should be? RB
caldigger
It might be from a discovery break. Rock is broken open..."Hey theres a trilo in here!" Glue parts back together then prep the little guy out.

Ludwigia
Try trimming the glue with a fine x acto knife. 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
Tidgy's Dad
I think it's a discovery break unusually lazily glued back together. All they needed to do was wipe it with a damp cloth. I agree that a very sharp thin-bladed modelling knife should do the trick. Otherwise it's a lovely trilo. 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
