Latest fossil find. A very large Neuropteris fern frond and leaflet hash plate with two close up pics, nicely preserved, detailed venation. Measures 22" x 12". Carboniferous Period, Pottsville Formation.

I was hoping it would be like "Where's Waldo" and we'd have to stare at the plant until we finally saw the penny.

Looks like a healthy chunk of stone you probably carried some distance no doubt.

A foot wide by 2 foot long hash? Holy moly! :trilosurprise:

 

What did you do, take the Tardis back to the Carboniferous, scoop a shovel of forest floor and come back? :P

 

Really lacking on plant finds in my collection and could use a pointer for some sites. Tips? :)

Every single fossil you see is a miracle set in stone, and should be treated as such.
