I found this as a kid in an old surface mine (I was told) in the upper peninsula of Michigan near lake Gogebic.  I found it in a large pile of loose sand.  It looks and feels like sandstone, but maybe harder.  It has what looks like a "foot" on the bottom and a hinge in back.  I would appreciate any speculation on what it is.  Just a funny shaped rock?

Thanks.

I’d say some water worn sandstone or quartzite, the white being a seperate vein or bed. A rock, but a cool looking one.

It looks interesting and holds childhood memories, so worth keeping. :)

But I agree with the others.

And a very warm welcome from Morocco.
