Seguidora-de-Isis
Good Night to everyone from my favorite Forum! I'm very curious about this specimen. According to the seller's description, this is a coprolite discovered in beds of Kem Kem. This is real? Is it from a carnivore or herbivore? Could it be a dinosaur? Is It real, or it's not real, that's the question!
caldigger
Doesn't seem very big for a dino., unless a small one. I've seen geese plop bigger piles than that.

Miocene_Mason
Herbivore coprolites are uncommon, ask the seller to lock his finger and touch it, if he says it sticks than that is in favor of a copro. @GeschWhat 1 “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
GeschWhat
It is a spiral fish coprolite - likely from a shark, ray, skate or a number of other primitive bony fishes. If you look closely, you can see what look like little petals from a flower. If you prep it carefully to remove the sand stone (like one grain at a time), you will see something like this. Just to warn you, sometimes these have glue on portions of them. If you go to remove the glue with acetone, you will end up with a pile of mush. 6 Lori www.areallycrappystory.com/fossils www.facebook.com/fossilpoo

Good luck with your research. 1 Lori www.areallycrappystory.com/fossils www.facebook.com/fossilpoo
