LoyToy
I was walking a creek in Illinois across the river from St. Louis looking for arrowheads and found this. It appears to be super old with a build up around it. I have no clue what type of animal it belongs to. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! GeschWhat
It looks like a horn coral to me, but others will be able to give you a more definitive id. Lori www.areallycrappystory.com/fossils www.facebook.com/fossilpoo

MeargleSchmeargl
Second horn coral. Know the formation it was found in? Every single fossil you see is a miracle set in stone, and should be treated as such.

LoyToy
It was just sitting in the water in a creek and I happened to notice it in very shallow water sitting on top of other rocks. I’m assuming the rain rustled up the creek rocks and turned it over.
