Real Walliserops trilobite?

Hello all,

I saw this nice trilobite being sold for relatively cheap online and I was wondering, because they are often fake and repared,if it was real or not.

These are the only pictures I have.

What do you think?

Regards

Looks like a real Walliserops tridens, but the pictures are blurry, the condition of the eyes looks like a disaster, there are sometimeslittle spines on the thorax.

Save your money and wait for a decent one. I know those are more expensive, but in 10 years you will be happy if you have one with perfect eyes, spines etc instead of this one.

I'm always on the lookout for the break ... where they glued the specimen back together before prepping.  It looks rough but at least we know that part of it is natural.  The three spines up top look iffy .. like they were crafted and then plopped down on top. Might just be a bad prep job I'm not as familiar with these trilos.

I think i pretty much concur with Brett.

I've seen worse and a lot better, it's mostly real but they've made a real mess of some of the pleural spines on the left side in particular.

I'm fairly certain the tips of the 'fork' have been added if not the whole thing.

Was the first thing I saw as well. I’d pass it.
